Ishaa Reyann Heavener
Ishaa Heavener (they/she) is a current graduate student at Missouri State University, working toward their degree in English. Their scholarship focuses on folklore, history, and myth as the stories of humanity grow, change, and evolve. Her creative work has been published in the literary magazine Currents, as well as a self-published anthology titled Bodies.

Ishaa received her B.A. in English and Writing from Drury University, where they connected with the idea of Maternal Critical Theory, and immersed it into their literary studies. Their hope to further their studies in folklore, as well as Near Eastern studies, and to tell and retell the stories of our human history.
Markee Hebdon
Markee Hebden (she/her) graduated from Drury University in 2023 with her B.A in English and Writing. She also minored in Women and Gender Studies, which ignited her interest in Maternal Critical Theory. Her scholarship focuses on Greek mythology and feminist discourses, both fictional and nonfiction. Markee’s creative works have been published in the literary magazines Go Anywhere and Currents. Her undergraduate thesis has been published by Drury University and currently resides in its Behavioral Sciences Library. During her time at Drury, Markee was president of Drury’s chapter of Sigma Tau Delta – the International English Honors Society; as well as a staff writer and editor for The Mirror, Drury’s campus news publication.
